Introduction

washington oral & maxillofacial surgeryWelcome to Washington Oral Surgery, the practice of Drs. Jae Hong, Garry Gill and Randy Bogard.  As oral and maxillofacial surgeons, we are uniquely qualified with highly specialized skills to diagnose, manage and treat a wide variety of conditions relating to the mouth, teeth and facial regions.
Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a subspecialty of dentistry that requires a minimum of 4 years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after graduation from dental school.  Therefore, our doctors have all had a minimum of 12 years of professional training.  We practice a full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery with expertise ranging from wisdom teeth removal and oral reconstructive surgery utilizing dental implants to corrective surgery of the jaws in treating dentofacial deformities. We also employ techniques designed to rebuild form and function with minimally invasive surgical interventions, using state-of-the-art CT scanning for quicker recovery and optimal patient comfort.

At Washington Oral Surgery, our team is committed to provide our patients with the highest standard of compassionate clinical care. By providing the most current treatments for our patients within a comfortable and relaxed environment, and by seeking continuous professional development, we maintain our ongoing pursuit of excellence in our ever-advancing field. Each patient’s unique and individual needs are carefully examined so we may provide the best surgical results possible.

Surgical Team

The surgical team is comprised of experienced, certified, oral and maxillofacial surgical technicians, who assist in administration of anesthesia and surgery. Our team is thoroughly trained in assisting with intravenous (IV) sedation or outpatient general anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. Patients are continuously monitored before, during, and after surgery.  All our surgical technicians are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).  In addition, many have extensive supplementary training in operating room protocols, management of emergencies, pharmacology, and infection control.

Our team puts paramount importance on upholding the highest standard of care in sterilization and prevention of contamination and infection transmission.

Administrative Team

Our administrative team has more than 100 years of combined experience in the field of health insurance policies and coding, with additional expertise in coding exclusively for oral surgical procedures.  They can assist you in processing and submitting your insurance claims for your procedure along with any necessary clinical information.  When applicable, and to maximize your benefits, we will submit claims to both dental and medical insurance companies.  We accept most dental and some medical insurance plans, and will work up the estimated coverage available to you at your consult visit.  Our team will collect most of the information prior to your first visit, so we are able to anticipate the optimal coverage for your procedure.
